Keeping it Weird on Wednesday

Often when I sew garments, I use my chacopy transfer paper + stylus to transfer pattern markings.  At other times, I’ll use my water-soluble fabric pen to trace my seam allowance on tricky curves.  After sewing, I need to use a damp washcloth to remove the markings before I iron otherwise they will permanently set.  For the duration of my garment project, I’ll often leave a wash cloth draped over the door knob of the sewing room/library.  This makes me giggle that Mary Jo is busy*.

*Remember in college (and in the movies!) where people would leave some type of cloth (or sock, or whatever) hanging over the door knob to let their roommate know that they are “busy” and the room is occupied so don’t come in ;)
