The Scripps Spelling Bee. What a great way to spend a Friday evening. We clapped along when the spellers spelled correctly and felt bad when the bell rang, signaling a misspelled word, and the student walked off the stage into a waiting parent’s embrace. At times we were even on the edge of our seats as the students’ time started to run out or they stopped and restarted spelling their word.
The clip below is quite funny, but I hope it doesn’t damage the poor kid’s psyche in the long run. YAY for spelling bees!
